Apple's new iPad is an exciting development for Gabriel Group's customers who are already looking to expand use of digital marketing assets via mobile devices. Clients deploying Gabriel's G3 Marketing Resource Management platform for producing, managing and distributing printed and electronic content continue to push capability to remote users.
"We are seeing more and more clients using the ability to search, retrieve and update marketing materials via the web. However, the use of mobile devices such as smart phones has been limited due to the difficulty presented by small screen size," says Mike Weinberg, Senior Vice President. "As the iPad busts open the mobile device category with it's mind-blowing interface and huge screen, we will see rapid growth of marketing content distribution in that arena."
Gabriel's G3 platform is already linking together best-in-class Digital Asset Management with print-on-demand and web-based fulfillment. An iPad-type device will accelerate companies pushing that capability out into the field. Imagine a key account rep or dealer accessing an easy to see and use virtual library of marketing collateral on her iPad. She opens the piece she needs, customizes a few sections for an important sales call, saves it and downloads a brand-compliant pdf right to her iPad to review with the customer! No wasted materials, no clerical help required from the marketing manager and a personalized piece created on the fly, almost without cost. It's a new world.
Stay tuned for updates. We'll share more as the iPad rolls out and our first clients begin pushing these capabilities into their teams' hands. In the meantime, contact Mike Weinberg, Gabriel Group's Senior Vice President, at 314-743-5717 or at mikew@gabrielgr.com for more info.
